M.A. – Education

The MA (Education) programme can be completed over two academic years of full-time study, or between two and four consecutive years of part-time study. Classes are generally held on weekday evenings, and occasionally on Saturdays. 

Elective courses provide you with an opportunity to study in the areas that give you a deeper understanding of topics related to your specialization. Coordinators may give students some guidance and advice for the elective courses that are related to your area of specialization. A wide variety of elective courses will be available for students registered in the MA (Education) programme. The elective courses on offer will vary in each academic year. M.A. in Education program is intended to provide teachers with in-depth knowledge in a particular area of specialty, all students will be challenged through the core curriculum to do the following:

• Better integrate technology in the classroom to enhance their teaching
• Make practical changes to their classroom instruction to align with current educational theory
• Apply modern knowledge in child growth and development to improve classroom instruction

However, the educational context is changing rapidly and with it the demands on teachers and educational professionals for new skills and knowledge are increasing. Hence, the MA (Education) programme has been significantly restructured to provide more choices for applicants and to deliver the programme in a more flexible way.

Bachelor’s Degree (any discipline) or equivalent

For International Students
The eligibility criterion for all programs for international applicants is minimum 50% in the qualifying examination and having studied the prerequisite subjects for admission into the desired program.
