B.A. – Liberal Studies

Our part-time BA program provides you with the well-rounded expertise you need to advance your career while also balancing personal and professional commitments. We offer flexible options to take classes in the evenings and on a part-time basis, making it possible for you to earn a degree without interrupting your career. 

A strength and attraction of the BA (Liberal Studies) are the many options it provides for students to organize a study program that is both personally interesting and professionally relevant. Moreover, such a major sharpens awareness of art, history, philosophy, and technology and the impact of these disciplines on contemporary issues. In doing so, Liberal Studies increases students’ abilities to think and to communicate clearly.

APU aims to provide you with the foundation to use knowledge in a manner that will help you become more successful thinkers, decision-makers and leaders. These liberal studies core classes are designed to promote critical and creative thinking as you learn how to draw upon diverse disciplinary perspectives and modes of inquiry, help in the development of communication skills and support efforts toward professional career development.

You will be able to make connections across various fields of your choosing, applying knowledge to real-world problems, and gaining diverse and applicable skills such as problem-solving, research, leadership and teamwork.

The BA in Liberal Studies equips students for careers in any number of fields, including education, law, communications and marketing, and the government and non-profit sectors. The degree also provides a strong foundation for further graduate study.

For International Students
The eligibility criterion for all programs for international applicants is minimum 50% in the qualifying examination and having studied the prerequisite subjects for admission into the desired program.
